If sporadic-E opens up 6M like it has been in the last few weeks, I will be on from the house. Single hop from here usually lands in colorado

What modes will be used?

I'm just doing SSB. If it's open we'll be hanging around 50.200.

100w into 4 element beam.

I have a 5 element with 100 watts on 6 meters, fed with 75 ohm hardline. Running a year long experiment with it then will change it out with lmr400 and see if I can tell any difference on tx and rx. Using an analyzer and the principal that every 1/4 wavelength will show exactly what is read out of the port on the antenna, I have matched it via resonance around 50.100. Last check SWR at the beam and back at the end of the radio are around 1.3:1 with contacts in the log to show it works.

If I had the room I would do a side by side test with two of the exact same antennas side by side, one with LMR400 and the other with 75 ohm hardline. But a city lot and a wife that is already complaining I have too many antennas do not help  :(

Plus the hardline is free, was thrown out from a spool end remnant. Perk for working for the cable company  :D
