There are squeekers around, dont remember the name but i saw i guy recently that did an effort to take a v-base. spammed country channel with orders and info about every turn he did. He was in Lancs and in a heroic effort he killed 3 hangers in 15 mins and then whined about no help.. Tried to tell him that he needed to kill 2 hangers per pass and all 4 in 2 passes to have enough time to clean up and take it. But he thought that it was more than enough to kill 3...

   We as squeakers were fed a steady diet of warfare movies, fighter combat tv shows and the like. Also the tablet allows low cost squeaker entertainment though some of it is as simplistic as 1980s arcade games.
     
        Is this genre dying out with the last real combat veterans of WW2?

What is the player population these days?

Interesting that you mentioned the H2H arenas. It was certainly a feature that made it easy to come back, play a bit, and then ultimately resubscribe to the game after a leave of absence. At least for me.
