12 Hour BoB scenario
« on: June 20, 2016, 12:51:18 PM »
Simply because it would be awesome. Plane sets are roughly equal, It should be reasonably easy to make it work since the basic setup is similar to the last 12-hour scenario with one side doing the bombing and the other defending.

Yes it would be awesome.

However, I would like to petition the removal of the BF-110c,  it is way too fast and wasn't the correct slower variant that got owned in the real battle.    :old:

IN !

Assign me any plane you want, Just like last Saturday, I will schedule a vacation day to get the day off from work to fly it.  My wife won't exactly be thrilled but I shall deploy chaff (manicure, pedicure and a massage).

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Since the end of AH1, the 110 has had no hope against either the Spit I or the Hurri I.

In a turn fight I would agree with you.  But in a lame Bnz stylee no chance.

what scenarios were you playing in?

I watched twinboom out dive my spitfire from a standing start and fly away with 10 kills once.   True story.

But problem with BnZ and dive away for the 110 is that if it does that it will leave the bombers unprotected.

October....

That doesn't make me happy. It's in the middle of my tour in the upcoming AvA3 War which starts September/October and ends no later then 5 November. Either the 2nd tour or the suggested 12 hour BoB, or both would suffer ihmo. The biggest irony is that the contemplated planesets for the first two AvA War Tours is almost identical to BoB.

Maybe Jaeger will put something together between Tour 1 and Tour 2? We don't have firm start/end dates for any of this yet but we were getting close in principle.
