Al-Qaeda knifes can be dangerous and more easy to F-up with than a more conventional knife with a proper handle.

Thanks Max.  I'm posting the new maps as I get them completed over on the Beta board.

As for my hand, I fear this is going to permanently affect my GV'ing.  I've had the bandage off all day, and the nerve damage is unavoidably noticeable.  It's my left hand, and it's difficult to maneuver a vehicle using the keyboard when you have no sensation in your left index finger.  I GV with my right hand on the mouse, and left hand hovering over the Q-W-E-D-A-S keys (Left-Forward-Engine-Right-Stop-Reverse).  I was motoring around the beta bases in a jeep, collecting object numbers, and couldn't keep the dang jeep steady.  Kept hitting the wrong key with that index finger.  I'll probably figure out some sort of work around, but dang it, I never should have tried to cut that stupid hose that way. :(

It'll get better with time!

Real men dont use box cutters tho, they use a table saw and try to stop the blade!

Get yourself a small ball and squeeze it all the time, when your hand can!  I used a ball of wax,Charlei Bronson taught me that trick in his movie "The Mechanic"!

I was told I would never be able to make a fist again and I would be lucky if all my fingers would even bend. I saw the surgeon about 6 months post OP and he said make a fist, which I did and he was amazed!!!  Then he proceeded to ask all sorts of question, grabbed 2 of his colleges and got out a book with pix of my hand to show them. I didnt look..... :rofl :rofl

But they all asked how I did this and I pulled my little ball of wax out of my pocket and showed them. It's now a part of standard therapy, they have different sizes and hardnesses but I just used regular candle wax and made a ping pong sized ball.

Good luck and remember if it's all itchy, thats good the nerves are healing!!!!
