The issues in such case may not appear immediately. When the install is fresh, the generic drivers may work reasonably well. The more updates you get both in Windows and in other programs such as games, the further apart the generic drivers and your system will grow.

YES it opens a windows and then the Error box  no splash screen or anything

His desktop shows utorrent. If he is being part of a torrent in the background will that effect the beta?

Long time ago I used to believe that when I was searching for anime movies. Had many strange things going on until I removed all of the software of any kind related to the process.

SO i took out my 2 x R9 270's in Crossfire and put in a single R9 270x and i am running the Radeon Crimson version 16.7.2, running Native RealTek Sound drivers, Running Raid 0 (2 x 500GB). attached the latest DXDIAGs. any ideas. i downloaded the lastest version and did a clean install too

Have you overclocked that system?  If you have, try running stock clocks.

I get that error all the time - with both AH2 and AH3

Sometimes the fix is to click on the desktop, sometimes to click on the task bar....usually within 3 to 5 attempts I get in.

I used to think it was because the PC had focus on Trackir or TeamSpeak because I open them first but I am not sure that is the case.  When you get the error just click out onto the desktop or taskbar and keep trying.  you will get in.

I just did it with the beta and I am in.

Well, if you run another application, which has opened the audio device in exclusive mode, it could cause the game to crash when trying to start.

i didnt see anything else that was running using my sound card exclusively and i disabled all other sound and playback devices. still nothing
