Everything here was and is operating as it should and was that way over the weekend.  The arena was reset Saturday morning due to the war being won and that was the only time the arena was not available.

The Internet, on the other hand, was a mess.  Nothing we can do about that one.  You can run Ping Plotter ti see about where the mess may lie, unless it is on the return trip.

Yes, we have alarms sent (email and text message) to us, which let's us know if there is a local problem.

Don't know what to tell you.  Nothing was down here.  All the game servers were up the entire weekend.

Am I correct in my assumption that the internet being a mess could cause the vox issues that several folks were seeing??  For example, I could transmit and be heard, however, I could not hear anyone else.  Even tuned to myself.  .resetv (all modes) did not work either.

It was actually kind of relaxing LOL

I sometimes have issues.  Primarily due to living in the boonies.   When the weather gets crazy I find myself unable to login.   I call my squaddies or email friends and they are having zero issues.  It is the nature of the beast.

I am quite sure Skuzzy and Hitech monitor this stuff.  Ticking off customers by letting servers go down is not a goal they have.  HTC can only control so much.

I work in TV broadcasting and during the late summer months of July and August we experience something called atmospherics. This is usually caused by the heat disrupting the microwave transmissions from tower to tower which causes our signal to be intermittent or drop out completely. This can also effect cable companies like Comcast where on a hot day the heat dissipating off the ground can sometimes disrupt microwave and satellite communications, although this is very rare.

I guess what I'm trying to say is depending on how your internet is routed it could be going though some place that's being affected by atmospherics. This would be more noticeable in the evenings when the temps are high but would be less during the night or morning when temps are low. That or it's aliens.

---depending on how your internet is routed it could be going though some place that's being affected ---

This, exactly this no matter what's your location. There's not much you can do about it. There's always a weaker link in the chain unless you can get a direct optical fiber to the server.
