Post lighting and Hanger floor whitewashed
« on: August 06, 2016, 01:41:44 PM »
Spent several hours in Crater last night.  Was fun, but I learned that unless I disable Post Lighting, there is no way I can read cockpit instruments at all, letters, needles, ect just kinda blend into the black back ground of the dash panel.

I played with a lots of settings, and nothing seems to work at all, anyone else seeing this?

Also, is there a way to tone down the whitewash job in the hanger without having it effect setting while playing?   It's BRIGHT

Love the 50's though   :aok

I suspect Skuzzy will need a dxdiag report to see your system configuration.

Not only the hanger floor, but the sand (dirt) is also whitewashed. Also tried different settings and nothing helped.

I had that problem as well, some few updates ago. After the last couple of updates, my system has started running the graphics remarkably better. I can still get the real bright hanger floor and runway white out, but only with both shadows and post lighting disabled. Since the shadows don't make as big a hit to my FPS I no longer need to disable both settings. This works about the same if I keep post lighting on and disable shadows. If I disable shadows only, and leave post lighting on, or vice versa, I do have to make a 1 notch adjustment to my gamma setting though to offset any over bright/dark object.
