Vehicle Unstick Code
« on: August 19, 2016, 02:28:24 PM »
How do we go about testing it?  I know how I have gotten stuck before, what happens now?  Should the vehicle theoretically not be stuck anymore?  Do we need to rock it back and forth and/or keep trying to move to a clear area?

Just looking for info to try to help.

It moves you 1 inch at time until you should be unstuck.

Alrighty.  Will go looking for sticky trees at a high rate of speed.

Isn't high rates of speed as much as odd angles and tight tree gaps.

It is automatic.  You just have to give it some time.

Not a fan of this code as it applies to the banana plant, but the actual trees is not a problem.

I did scrub a tree and get tipped over in the M4. I came to the end of my 'active hours' and Windows 10 decided to reboot. Re-entering the arena shortly thereafter I was put back into the same tank, but it was back on its tracks. Yeah, I like that! The next time it happened the tracks sped up and the tank started wobbling like a drunk sailor and I got stuck to a tree. This time the tank went slowly through the tree, and then another, and then another. That I didn't like, but I didn't get shot or anything so no harm no foul.

I brushed up against a hut on a g.v. base 2 days ago and I not only got stuck to it, My tank was sucked inside the hut and kept going forward and backward for around 1.5 min. before I was finally released. And It put me stuck between 2 trees.
I was so tired of trying to figure out how to get back into action I just shut the PC off and went to do something else LOL.

When you get stuck on something, you let it set there and the game will push you over a bit at a time to get you free. The movement is small and it does take some time.

Once in awhile you will get stuck and nothing happens.  Make sure you record the location.
There are a few tank stopping banana plants out there too.  Look for those.

Use the ".psave filename" command to save your position in the terrain/world.  If you do not provide a file name, then file will be saved as "cmepos.txt" in the "settings" folder.

A few? I think every one of them are . . . by design.

Bananas are fixed for the next patch.
