B-29: If you've ever wondered...

I don't envy the controllers; listen to all the people stepping on each others' transmissions.

Also, it doesn't look like the B-29 has very sensitive ailerons at low speed.  Watch how the co-pilot is turning the yoke 90 degrees and more to do his fine adjustments.

B-17 is the same way with the low roll rate.  The only airplane I've flown where full aileron is routinely used.
