Looking at pictures of your computer on Newegg it appears a standard size power supply will fit. Measure to be sure.

That power supply doesn't appear to have a 6 pin PCI express connector which your video cards require.

Ah ha.  Okay let me keep looking.

With the GTX 970 the game can be run on the fullest settings (including environmental slider) and hold a steady 60fps.

Awesome.  Thanks for the info.  :salute

My case is an ATX.   Not sure if that tells you what you need to know.  I did see a post online that says any standard ATX PS will fit in this case just fine.

For that small vid card (3GB/6GB)  they recommend a 400 watt PS, but I am looking at 500 as suggested.

Standard power supply will extend about 5.5 inches into the computer from the rear. If you have that much room it should fit.

Be sure to read the customer reviews. That Apevia has some really bad amazon reviews, Newegg reviews are bad too.

Just a heads up. When I was testing AH3 it never got even close to using 3GBs of VRAM. The highest it got for me was just under 2.3 GB and that was with maxed out graphics. Obviously lower graphics setting would mean less VRAM used. So a 3GB card can work with AH3.

If you plan to play other games besides AH3 then 3GB might be trouble in some games unless you turn the graphics down a bit. The 6GB version you listed should be more than enough to max out any game easy.

Thank you, sir.  I will think it over.  If it saves 100 bucks it might be worth it to just do the 3GB.

Vraciu, it looks like you've been through a learning process during last night! The last decisions start to look like you might get a working system for a decent price. Nothing fancy but probably worth the price.  :aok

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Yeah it has been awhile since I built a machine.   I used to hit TigerDirect and order all the stuff I wanted.

I started out with a 386DX-33 in college.  Upgraded that thing "One Piece at a Time" like the Johnny Cash song.    Life kinda' intervened at some point.  The only "demanding" thing I use my rig for is AH so upgrades have not been a priority for six years running.    Tech passed me by a bit as a result since my current system has been sufficient.

I appreciate all the advice.   Will keep you posted.   :salute
