AH3 not recognizing all video card memory
« on: September 11, 2016, 05:20:17 PM »
Greetings I have a radeon Rx 470 4gb ddr5 video card ( well actually 2 of them in crossfire mode) and I understand the game won't recognize mutipul cards but in AH3 it's only recognizing 3 Gb's, when playing AH2 it recognizes 4Gb's..
 Full specs..
Msi 990fxa gaming Mb
Amd Fx8350 Cpu
Radeon 470Rx 4Gb DDR5 video card x2
32GB DDR 3 2133Mhz Corsair Vengeance memory
1Tb sata Hd
Os Windows 10 64bit

I have everything turned on to Max in both games and I'm maxed out at 60 fps just wondering why is AH3 is not recognizing the 4gb's but only 3

The video memory info from AH2 was inaccurate.

So then a AH3 must be inaccurate also?

The value DirectX is returning cannot be more than 3GB due to how it is being calculated.  Iti s a trade-off in order to get accurate values of how much memory is being used.
