Icon visibility
« on: September 22, 2016, 11:56:52 AM »
I am having real problems seeing Icons clearly.

They seem to be very translucent . I have tried all sorts of colours .... White seems to be the hardest colour. I have tried all sorts of combination of font and font size......... Current using the large font set to 22 pixels.

Either way I have to work at reading them and very often just don't see them.

If I want the icon less translucent then it's so small I can hardly read it if I make it any larger then it becomes more translucent and I miss even more than I miss now.

This massive dip in my already challenged SA is effecting my game play.

How much of it may be due to my choice of screen?

DELL S2716DG 27" 2560x1440 TN G-Sync 144Hz Gaming Widescreen?

Could it be that the font sizes currently available are suited for screens upto STD HD? And not higher res screens.

Is there a fix I have not found?

Please help.

I have the same issue, to take it a step further when I put the mouse on a friendly on the map it is the same way.   Really have to zoom in to read their name.

Looks like the raster process wasn't kind to the font, but the icon is a narrow one.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Disable anti-aliasing, for the moment.  That should make them easier to read.

It is going to be one of those difficult things.

Icon Spacing from aircraft needs to be adjustable as well.  Too often the plane is masked by the icon....

Thanks Skuzzy..... I have fiddled with AA and removed some of the application control........ it (reading/seeing the icons) has improved a bit and I am pretty sure that I can dumb down AA some more if need be.

I am sure that switching the font to something more  like Arial Black
would improve it more

Tilt, shut down the AA in the game (Options->Graphic Detail).  The AA settings in the video card should not be doing anything at all.
