HUD brightness slider causes text to repeat in buffer.

DX 9 version of AH.

I had prefs open to select tracers on and got a message in buffer saying it would take effect whenever.  When I moved the HUD brightness slider that line of text would repeat in the buffer, didn't matter which way I moved the slider.
