Dialog Closure Problem
« on: September 20, 2016, 07:59:43 AM »
When in VR and a dialog comes up requiring a ok or cancel, you have to hit the OK repeatedly to get the dialog to close. This is true for both the mouse and the joystick button mapped to the mouse. The OK rapidly blinks. I usually try many clicks or long clicks but it will eventually close. Examples are key mapping, joystick button mapping and film saving yes or no. This is with cv1. This isn't new it has been happening for a while but I kept forgetting to mention as it does work but takes many trys.

I have the same problem in VR. Also selecting anything on the text buffer channel menus is very difficult. I started using enter for film saves and dot commands to set radio channels.

Also text buffer sizing and scrolling not really doable in VR. I think we need a couple of buttons mapped to scroll up scroll down commands. For sizing I would prefer to set the base size in a config file of some sort and the ~ command to expand or contract. It is the base size that is hard to set.

HiTech

Moved the sphere size through the range with no change in the problem. Sometimes a closer sphere sizes there are two dots on the dialog window.
When you click ok ( on say the key map dialog) the ok lights up red but nothing happens. If you click and hold the ok button it blinks red?

This is only on the dialogs. The clipboard works fine.

This is with rift cv1 and a pascal Titan X with the latest drivers.

Terry

This has been a problem since VR day one.

When I was adjusting window positions after deleting my Cfg files, I found I had to close one eye to get the right dot to grab the window. I mention it here because I wonder if the dot convergence could have something to do with it?

Did you try changing sphere size?  I just straddle with 2 dots and click around until it works.

There really shouldn't be two dots. I think that might be the problem. Since HiTech can't reproduce this it might be hardware/driver related. Do you have a Nvidia 1080 class card?
