I am having a hard time hearing people on Vox because more often than not my background sounds are not muted when someone transmits. I have the playback effect slider down low on the Voice preferences page so when it does work the background sounds are very distinctly muted making the voice much clearer. But most of the time they end up not being muted and drown out the Voice transmits.
