Defaults to DX9 when updating
« on: October 19, 2016, 06:56:15 PM »
Start Dx11 - - out of date so do the update - - update installs and then asks if you want to run the DX9 version.

Not a biggie, just letting you know

Exactly vice versa for me. Running DX9, and after the update it launches DX11.

When the installer, or patch, successfully ends they are going to default to running the DX9 version.  This was changed several versions back.

The patch or the game installer will not invoke DX11.  They have not been able to for several updates now.  If you installed an earlier version, it created a desktop ICON for DX11 and that ICON will still be there, no matter how many patches we do.

Regardless, the question at the end of the installation (patch or full install) does not have the capability to as to run the DX11 version, and has not have that capability for several patches.
