Last week I sent an application on behalf of The Menacing Ferrets, but I haven't heard back except for the automated reply. We'd like to get in on the November event... we played WBs Squad Select Series for a dozen years or so; the event format looks pretty much the same, so we probably won't embarrass anyone.
Glad to see the Ferrets coming in! Surprised it took this long. Main difference between FSO and S3 is, FSO's a bit more limited in that the locations being attacked are always known, so it's just about impossible for a defending squad to not see action as long as everybody shows up.
Loses a little flavor compared to S3, but it's better than the occasional night of boring holes in the sky without seeing anything.
Other than that, it's very similar.
