AH III Terrains
« on: October 04, 2016, 03:30:12 PM »
Is there a place to download them from? Other than when they change arena's and get a new map?

Thank you,

You could create a custom user arena, and choose the terrain you want. It will then download when it builds the arena. Just change the terrain to get whatever other terrains you want.
My Current Rig:

Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit

Thank you ImADot...that is what I was doing.....was just wondering if there was a one shop stop where I could have them all.

Have a few guys in the squad with less than stellar internet speed, and was going to put them on google drive for them to download them all over night...

Evidently upper peninsula of Michigan is not renown for its internet service :)

I'll keep grabbing a few at a time....

I had the same question.  My Internet speed is very slow in rural Maine. .  It stinks when I'm fired up to play ah in the evening and then see there's a 2 hour down load..."darn, no ah tonight..."

Are these terrains at this link:
http://www.hitechcreations.com/downloads/downloads-terrains

For AHIII or AHII ?

They download into Aces High/ahiiterr folder, so I'm assuming AHII.

Where do the AHIII terrains live?

Hiya Dobs,

I think HTC just hasn't gotten around to updating the web page with all the arenas for download that way.  I suppose this could be on the "to do" list along with a bunch of other things.

In the meantime, creating a custom arena will download a single terrain of your choice (in other words, one at a time).

When you log in to the online arenas, instead of selecting from the arenas in the menu, click the "Create Arena" button.  This will bring up a sub-menu wherein there is a pull-down list of all the terrains.  Creating that custom arena will automatically download the terrain you choose before it opens.  From that point on that terrain should appear in your list of available terrains for offline practice.

Hope this helps.

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.

Ty Kingpin!

Time is my enemy... was just trying to get them all and have a plac for squaddies to get them all from in one fell swoop.  Some have pretty slow connects and a change in map will knock them out for abot while they download.

Cheers!

A demo of what it takes to get 1 map on your Harddrive......

Buddy on DSL hates it when he logs in and has to wait for map to download.

Just trying to help him (and squad out).

When I am on the road which is often, I use a Verizon mobile hotspot. In come cases I find the connection to be faster then the internet provided in the Hotels I stay away in,
