I am just a desk jockey vr pilot.
So what is it when the engine over revs, heats, or whatever it is and cuts out briefly. Hurri's do same thing.
I need to understand whats going on and how to adjust for it.

Spitfire and Hurricane Mk1s are naturally aspirated with a carburetor (as opposed to injection) and when you put them under negative G's the fuel stops flowing to the engine which in turn cuts out. This is the only cut outs I've experienced in Aces High.

Bee is correct,  stick forward engine off, stick back engine on. Instead of stick forward, roll 180 and use stick back.

Yep, negative G:s means that fuel flow is interrupted and the engine briefly stops. Was an (not so big) issue during BoB, 109:s could get away by diving while spits and hurris had to do a half roll in order to follow.
