GV speed will not increase. Snails pace and no upshift..

Did you change control modes when switching to GV?  I get the same problem when I switch to using my pedals to steer (control mode 1) instead of using KB to steer (control mode 2).

yes, if there is any steering input to controls the GVs will not accelerate nor shift.

Make sure your rudder controls are centered.  If not, it can cause the slow speed you are describing.  I would try recalibrating your rudder controls on your stick or pedals depending on which you are using.  I got this problem long ago when my rudder controls were not centered on my twisty stick.
