Wait, what? Why did one of my post get deleted and replaced with "trolling?"
You posted old images, from Aces High II, as substantiation for your opinion about the age of the graphics in Aces High III.
Ah, that explains why I was having so much trouble finding a good screen shot. I'm still learning the ins and outs of this board.
You know, this thread has kinda diverted a little bit. I gave my honest opinion on why new players aren't staying. I have learned though that some of you passionately disagree. Lets agree to accept each other's opinions and move on cause I'd hate to make to many enemies before I even start flying!
In all honesty, you tainted your "honest opinion" and call to question your credibility. Let me explain.
In your opening statement in this thread, you stated,
I'm about to activate my two week trial, although I'm not technically a new player. The reason that I may buy a month or two is for the same reason I may pull my N64 out of the closet to play some DonkeyKong, nostalgia. Aces High is an antique game that somehow is still managing to stay alive today. Based off of offline practice mode, the graphics are 10 years out of date, it plays and sounds very clunky, and the color pallet is visually assaulting. The one thing the game still has going for it is it's mmo arena style combat, which gives it good gameplay (permitting there are still people playing the game). It doesn't surprise me that very few new players are staying in the game. If I was a new player, I wouldn't buy the subscription either. There are just too many other better and cheaper options. Tragic really.
You said you played offline, then you use screenshots from nearly 10 years ago to substantiate your claim after you have played it offline. I am having a very hard time understanding how anyone could play the game offline, then turn around and use screenshots, which are obviously much poorer than offline flight would have been.
Even with every graphic option turned off, Aces High III looks better than AH2 did with everything turned up.
While we have always allowed people to discuss other games on our board, what we do not allow is people to come in here and make arbitrary and derogatory statements about our product, and service, which have no basis in reality.
Due to how you have presented yourself in this thread, you have lost most of your credibility as it pertains to how Aces High III looks.
All that said, Aces High III is still very much a new product. We have a lot of older models in the game, which will eventually, get updated. Simply updating the skins is going to make a huge difference, even in the older models. To lambast our product, using 9 or 10 year old screenshots from a game which no longer exists is wrong and quite disrespectful.
