VBF-6 Corsair
« on: January 06, 2017, 02:08:51 PM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This VBF-6 F4U-1D was part of the carrier USS Hancock's air group in March 1945. The USS Hancock's aircraft struck Japanese held targets from the Philippines to Japan from October 1944 until the end of the war.

Sexy, Big, and Blue. :)
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Great skin.   Still, yellow is a challenge.   No matter what we do the lighting is sometimes too Stark, eh?

I can desaturate the yellow a bit.

Is it more the specularity than the saturation?

Seems the light is what's doing it.  In shadow it looks fine.

Wow! The 50 cal ammo used in WW2 had enough un-burnt propellant to sand blast the paint off the gun ports? Or is that white tape to cover the ports until the guns are fired?

They use to tape over the gun ports to keep the crap out.
