Work
« on: January 10, 2017, 06:39:07 PM »
I am from the UK where we have quite a strong welfare state. At the same time there is allot of stigma atached it seems to the long term unemployed or anyone who is not working and supported by the state.

However:

We can all see that automation is increasingly replacing the unskilled, skilled and even the more professional work especially with powerful virtual AI and voice recognition software.

So isn't it time we embraced a shorter working  week, a better life work balance and accept some people are still very valuable members of society even if they don't contribute much economically.

AH would be no fun without other players and the full time players keep the game going when others are at work or provide someone to play with when the employed are on vacation.

Just interested in what others think ?

He thinks rich people are going to give those with nothing something for nothing?

When it happens let me know.

"Shorter week, better work balance and valuable members" this is gibberish spoken by those who have and will always be in positions of wealth and security, like the Metropolitan elites who now infest London and use cheap immigrant labour.

This thread got started with a political slant, which is in violation of rule #14.
