Sylvania 32" LCD won't display

An older Sylvania 32" LCD 720p isn't interfacing with Windows7 via HDMI to HDMI. I've tried all 3 HDMI inputs on the TV. My card is an EVGA 760GTX, which works fine with a Samsung 32" LED.

What might I be missing here? Thanks!

Do you have anything else that is HDMI, that you could hook the tv to?  Just to make sure it's receiving a signal.
On my TV I have to go into the menu and select HDMI, before it will work.

Not really.

The outputs on the TV are HDMI 1,2&3, component and video. With the HDMI cable plugged from TV to vid card, I selected all the various outputs on the TV menu and none of them registered my desktop screen. I swapped back the Samsung and had no issues.

That is odd.  It seems to be something up with the tv, if your Samsung is working ok.

Max, are you sure that you are using the HDMI port on the card and not the DVI port?  The DVI port timing is different from HDMI and some televisions will auto-detect the timing difference.  Samsung is usually prrtty good about that.

The only reason it would not work would be if the timing could not be established, or the vertical sync frequency could not be established.

Some televisions are just sensitive to computer HDMI port timings and signal levels.

HDMI is the only option as my card only has DVI & HDMI outputs. The Sylvania setup menu has a PC screen adjust setting so I know it's capable of interfacing with a computer. I'll check for a different HDMI cable laying around...that's the only thing I can pinpoint as a problem, but again, the same cable works fine with the Samsung 32" LED
