Thrustmaster throttle problem
« on: September 09, 2017, 03:51:35 PM »
I just acquired a brand new Thrustmaster fcs stick and throttle. So far, I'm loving it. However, I can't seem to get the throttle to work in GV mode (2). It works fine in mode 1 (flight) and the axis shows movement in mode 2, but I get nothing. I feel like I must be missing something simple.

I have not been able to decipher the T.A.R.G.E.T. software, and have been doing everything in-game.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

When you launch does it show control mode 2?

Use W,A,S,D for vehicles. I believe the throttle mapping is just for aircraft.

This!   I use a 4 way hat and a button mapped to shift,I then mapped the throttle to zoom in/out but I already had that on my JS so it just is mapped to none.

Correct, the throttle axis doesn't work in GVs. You need to used the keys to move forward, reverse, full speed and so on.

Thanks for the responses. Interesting. The throttle worked fine for vehicles on my cheapo Thrustmaster T flight. Hmmm... Does anyone else use one of those for GV'ing?

You can use your throttle for GVing, if you scroll down in the analog mappings you'll see there are some settings for when the throttle is in the forward or back position. It is not analog (ie scaled) but it does work.

To map your throttle to button presses scroll down the controller input column and you'll see your throttle axis listed with min, mid, and max for the 3 positions. Click on (axis)min and set it to Stop in vehicle mapping and it should function the same as the S key.

I have the Thrustmaster Hotas warhog and foot peddles. In GV's I have to push one of my foot peddles half way before the throttle begins to work.

Calibrate the pedals and add deadband.
