If you think a Tiger moves the turret slow, then you haven't tried to crank one. It's main usefulness comes in accuracy, and not major traversals.

Drivers would, if they could, turn around the vehicle to shorten the time to get aim on target, it was a part of their training (at least German training)

Particularly Tigers with it's slow turret would do it.

Even the turret on modern tanks like the Leo 2 can be hand cranked, all you need is a gunner with strong arm and a lot of time.
