Board game flight sims sound about as much as making out with your own sister.

Once upon a time there was no internet. ;)

Skuzzy pushed our wheelchairs from General Discussion to the O-Club.  I guess "O" stands for "old."  :old:

I loved B-17 Queen of the Skies. Names my friends as the crew, and burned through all of them before I could get 20 missions done!

I miss the many Avalon Games I used to play back in the day. Particularly Advanced Squad Leader. I don't have anyone to play these games with anymore.  :old:

Can play across the internet now, real-time.  Including many other board games.    :aok

I loved those Avalon Hill games.

Back in the day a good friend and myself each copied/duplicated the maps and mounted them on corrugated cardboard then duplicated the pieces and mounted them on thinner pieces of cardboard.

Whenever we got together we'd bring our individual boards with the pieces pinned to the map, play a few turns, each repositioning our own maps then go home.  In between each of us had plenty of time to study the map and layout strategy for our next session.

 :aok
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Very analog. Resolution within human spectrum.

Heh.  The Great Koufax Desert.

I started out with Avalon Hill's "Battle of the Bulge," "Afrika Korps" and "Stalingrad."  Was too young for "Tactics II."  Feeling a bit older now.  Computers have made a colossal difference in wargames (especially if you were serious about "Squad Leader"), but it's a shame that people don't get together for a night of board gaming and booze anymore.

LOVE IT!

From this to 60 FPS.  Amazing. Though I do miss using my imagination...
