 HOWDY,  I forgot where I saw it, but the conversation was about free play and the plane to be offered.  The Wildcat was the first plane our green troops had to use. and no hiccup probs.

For the Navy, you forget the P-39 and P-40 for the USAAF fellows.

I'm not forgetting but by timeline not counting pearl harbor the only offensive ops ran in early 42 were hit and run  cv raids and the only  fighters on those ships were wildcats.
