Thank you all for the Wishes I will be living at St Lukes Hospital for the next 2 weeks. They found that my original stent is 100% blocked and I have 4 more arteries blocked so I am scheduled for Open Heart Surgery early next week. So when I come out of all this my ticker should be good to go. Open heart surgery at age of 42 not good no more booze and smoking for me well maybe an occasional drink

Surviving the heart attack is huge (I know, Capt Obvious.)

On the bypass surgery, I had a triple in 2012. It is major surgery, to be sure. Take good time to recover.  :old:

It is not the end of life. I am not to the fifth anniversary of having my sternum sawed in half, and I swam 1/2 mile, yesterday.

Definitely give up the smokes. An occasional beer is still do-able.

Good luck. Stay positive.

Mols: so sorry to hear of your heart attack!  And at 42?!?  Hope you get well soon.  After the surgery, make sure you follow all of your doctor's health and dietary suggestions, and not just for awhile, but forever.
