The Range / Vox list window - is stuck behind clipboard when it is up.

He is prolly referring to the radio window that shows the names of the people in range and people on channel. I don't thing most people understand that you can move that window.

Oh - I do understand I can move that window - However I like it where it is out of the way in the upper corner. Before the clipboard would show up behind it, now in front. I prefer that window in the upper right corner of my 3rd monitor and not elsewhere.

Here's how I use it and why it gets under my skin now and again, BowHTR.

A lot of the time, on climbout or if it's not that hot of an area, I've got my clipboard up.  Partly to watch for suspicious bardar in other sectors, partly to keep an eye on the bardar in my current sector in case it grows and it's time to stop browsing the web on my phone.  Sometimes doing this I am inclined to type on the radio and/or use the radio display to keep an eye out for squaddies logging in.  With the window moved over to the other side, I've now got most of my monitor covered by clipboard and radio where before, I had over half of my display open to keep an eye on the sky around me.

It's not game breaking, but it is a pain in the backside.

If your leaving the window open for extended periods, have you tried making the window more transparent? Then you can still see who's in your channel but not take up so much space.

But that'll lighten all of the GUI windows, won't it?  That is undesirable for me.

It will lighten only the radio window that you type in and the radio list window, if I remember correctly.

EXACTLY - This is also what i use it for and do have it up a lot. Now it's just a nuisance the way it is.

Could you possibly allow an option for personal user preference via checkbox or something? For me I like having the large clipboard up most of the time, watching for dar bar / enemies nearby, and then quickly trying to bring up a list of squaddies on channel or nearby I can directly text / type to and it was efficient before the change. Now have to jump through hoops (reduce clipboard, type, bring back up clipboard, or move windows around and lose more visual space which reduces even more SA than I am already lacking.

I couldn't tell you the point. I'm sure it was for a good reason. I can tell you that a lot are making a fuss out of something small, which occurs quite often.

What was the problem that clipboard always on top solves? It would be nice if you could untick a box so that it wasn't always on top.
