Love the nose art.   How do you do that?   The lettering is perfect.

Fonts, rotated and played with, looks like Gimp took out the stoke on it though.. noticing a few other things looking at all the screen shots.. it's amazing what slips past.

Is that a standard font or something special?   Still looks good to me.

Your aluminum has those small highlights of blue grays associated to bare aluminum under sky. And your wing weathering keeps the putty intact while showing accumulation of grime in the work stressed joints and rivet dimples. At a diagonal view close up will the filled seams and dimples be highlighted in the light reflection? And your black nose ring, is that a green at such a dark value it shows black? Very nice black effect.

I need to steal that putty effect.   You just gave me some ideas.    :salute

Nice skin Fencer, the scheme and colours looks spot on and the weathering is really convincing. Maybe its just the angle the shots were taken but I am not seeing a lot happening with the lighting effects though.

It's the angle, they are there same as the rest of my Stangs... well same settings I did all the maps individually for the skin obviously.

Beautiful work Fencer, and a great subject besides.  I read that Jack Ilfrey was a real pistol - when he was promoted to Major, in the ensuing celebration he caused so much trouble they busted him back down to 2nd Lt.  Some brass later intervened because they'd never had a squad commanded by such a low rank, so he got bumped back up to Captain.

I think something is off on the gun muzzle exhaust(?) stains - they appear to be pretty hard, and have discolored/faded the paint - I've not seen that effect before on a skin.

Also, on the left side view: the panel lines just forward of the canopy - on the cowl top they have a glare line behind, but lower on the fuselage side the glare line seems to have disappeared and been replaced by a grime layer on either side on the panel line.  The disconnect is noticeable is all.
