I remember in beta we had this problem come up in regular AH on the P-38.

I have a toggle button mapped to turn my tracker off. So this is what I have always done:
 - turn tracker off while looking forward
 - move head to desired center position using arrow and pg down/up keys
 - hit F10
 - turn tracker back on

Head positions are now saved independent of the regular head position you do outside of the VR headset.

If you want to use the same position, then simply copy the head position file to the VR named version of the file.

Example:

Go to the "settings\planes" folder in the game installation directory.

The p51d.hps file is the non-VR file.  Copy it to p51d_vr.hps if you want the same position for VR.

That is what I do to using my trackir shut off.  Mine though only holds the head position but if you turn your head it moves the view and it quite uncomfortable so I have to close my eyes sometimes.

Skuzzy, I will recheck tomorrow.  The head saved problem on the 38 like in the beta was on just a few planes.  May be the same problem in the O app.  Please note this is launching from the Oculus app that is not using the regular AH program location and oculus.

We made a change in this last version which separates the VR head position files from the normal head position files.  If you depended on being able to save head positions without VR and use them with VR, then it is not going to work.

It does not matter if you are running the Oculus version or our VR version.

The easy way to set your virtual head position is to move your head opposite to where you want it, recenter, then sit normally.

For example if you want to be further away from the gunsight you would lean forward, recenter your virtual head position with Tracker Center or Ctrl-F4, then sit normally.

Alternately you can move your head where you want it, press F10, sit normally, press recenter.
