Technical Support Thread not Accessible
« on: September 09, 2001, 09:19:00 PM »
I get a blank page. Not even manually putting the url in the address bar works. Anyone else have this problem?

Since its not accessible, I may as well post my problem here:

AH locks up the PC.

System:
ASUS A7M266 266FSB MBD
512 PC2100 DDR Ram (Crucial)
ASUS GEFORCE 3 Deluxe 64MB
60 gig 7200rpm HDD (most is free & its defraged)
SBLIVE X-GAMER 5.1
Stickset: MS FF2, CH PRO pedals, Suncom dual throttle.

Problem:

I'm flying around and AH just locks up the computer. Just like that! Every time I restart the system and go back into AH I have to re-configure my joysticks (odd thing ive noticed). No other game does this.
I have DX8a, 12.90 drivers for the gforce, latest sound drivers (only sound drivers installed not the extra crap that comes with the sblive). Yesterday it happened about 4 times in about 6 hours i played, but today it happened every 45 minutes. Its really annoying.

Ive reinstalled DX8, no go. Reinstalled all drivers (removing driver, restarting system, installing driver, restarting system), no go. Ive even formatted my 2nd physical hard drive, installed win98 clean and all the drivers and stuff needed for AH... same result. I know its not my windows setting, it used to work a-ok before last patch. After last patch ive been having this problem on and off  :(

Its not overheating or any of that sort, my cpu, mbd and vid card all stay way below their threshold.

So what can it be? Ideas?

No clue on the lockup problem, but the ubb topic is fixed.  When it gives a blank page like that, click the link on the right to the last posted topic, and just add a post to that.  Once done, the topic itself is accessable again.
