Odd blackout bug?
« on: April 09, 2017, 11:24:37 AM »
I don't know what the heck happened here. I mean obviously I've taken some damage from either the Dora I was fighting or the auto ack from the fleet below us. But other than that it's what happened next that left me scratchin my head! My engines slow all of a sudden to like idle speed without my touching the throttles. They apparently stop without the stopping sound, start engines has no response. I black out...but not really. It doesn't fade to a pinhole. I'm not pulling any G's. Kinda can't as most of my horizontal stab is missing. Screen just goes black all of a sudden with my engines dying. I look in the corner and the little heads up display (that I only just checked like the other day) shows I've gone from a fight at altitude to 1 foot altitude and 1 mph airspeed. The text buffer is spinning by. Can't bring up the clipboard. I try to exit flight----and it won't let me. Because I'm still going 1mph of course! LOL I gotta be stopped. So there I sat for a few minutes talking to T2MAW trying to .ef. Eventually it let me out and I got a ditch. I wasn't running AHFilm so I don't have the game date but I was on Twitch at the time so I chopped this video out. Apologies for the quality. Someone had asked me to bump it down a few notches so they could watch on a mobile better. Gonna have to bump it back up I think.

running other clients with an upstream affects your send speed to the server, that is then relayed to the guy trying to kill you, which is then relayed back to you saying you are dead.

unless you have a good upstream which is around 2Meg on cable and can be as low as 128k on DSL, and even worse on satellite then I would not stream while flying.

you have to think about the data being passed and the bandwidth used.

Didn't disco from the game. Was sent to some twilight zone within the game that I've never experienced before for about 5 minutes. Didn't get killed, in fact got a ditch. I'm guessing what happened there was it was the ship ack that hit me and not the Dora. Have excellent cable so that's not an issue. The game was mostly running fine near as I could tell. Hell I was talking on vox! Was just way wierd.
