All may not be lost for those of you who are unhappy with the
current crop of VR hmd’s. As others have rightly pointed out in other threads, current VR devices are generation 1 but the VR space is continuing to get crowded as companies with means see its potential and gear up to grab a slice of the VR pie, most notably Microsoft. Even Apple is beefing up its laptops in order to support VR. Prices will come down, specs will improve, including having no need for IR tracking cameras… for example, Acer and Lenovo appear to jumping in by partnering with MS:
