There could always be more model variants of planes.  109 e3 e4 e7 f2 f4 g2 g6 g10 g14  etc

all these planes have to have had certain amount of time and quantity in WWII to be considered.
not a big fan of German Iron except 109-E4 and F4. never heard discussion of the 109-E3 and E7. I will research these 2 and see.

there is this thing on steam called 'steam workshop'  i'm sure there would be plenty of modders who would help Hitech updating the graphics if he allowed them to.

steam workshop is also a great place for mods of all kind.

I seriously doubt HiTech will turn to outsiders non HTC employees to or players to mess with this game.

If AH goes steam they will be working to make that work. The planes might slowly get updated.

I do not know but I think any new planes will be a while away.

Forget about planes. I've been asking for submarines since '02!  :(

your list is ok.

i think both the meteor and beaufighter would see more action in the open melee arena.   the last thing we need are more hangar queens.

Most notable planes not represented in AH:
Beaufighter
SB2C
KI44

Variants that have a lot of added value, not hangar queens, and bring something new to the arena:
JU88 attack variant
Mosquito XVIII tse-tse (57 mm Mollins cannon)

Other interesting options:
Whirlwind (early war scenarios, useful even in the MA)
Meteor (another perked jet to combat other jets)
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

I'm advocating for more variants for the melee arena.

Mossie had a small number of interesting variants
P47C for scenarios
Bf109G6AS Bf109g14AS, G10 20mm...
FW190a2 FW190a9

BOB planes  109s Spit Mk II. Spitfire VC, early Ju88

Most wanted new plane would be the JU52, anyone dedicated to fly LW planes puke flying the C47.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

+1

Meteor with quad hispanos would probably see fair amount of use. The 262s guns are difficult to use agains fighters, especially for most newbies.

Add this and perk the Wirble:

If that was 1. - a common configuration and 2. - faster than the wirble. It would be a good compromise to give aircraft a chance against the obligatory wirble that is always putting a kink in low alt action around a spawn and base. If it's faster, one guy could keep re-upping, run to town and get it down or keep getting onto the end of the runway before anyone realizes it. I remember hating the M16 for their speed at getting where you didn't expect them to be.

It was far more common than the wirble. It would be about as fast as the 251 half track. The absence of armor would make it easier to kill than a wirble.

Edit: Around 700 Sd.Kfz. 7/1 were built, compared with ~100 Wirbles, the sd.Kfz. 7/2 had a 37 mm cannon similar to the ostwind and around 1000 were built.
The Wirble is also quite a bit overmodeled, its rate of fire is much higher than irl, it had 20 round Magazines so if you fired all 4 guns the ammo would last 2 seconds Before the mags needed to be replaced. A bit different from the spraying the wirbles does in the game..

It would also play as a supply truck, an M3 type with a gun on the back, a troop transport, it could also tow a trailer with an 88 on it. It was the most versatile GV the German army had, you might argue. Served with over 5000+. Compared to the 200 or so from the Wirb side of the equation, it's a shame we don't have it already!

As to the others...I could type out exact reasons why the 109E-3, P-47C, He219, and SB2C have no place in this game. I'll keep this short, though.

I agree: No more planes til all the AH1 models are updated. BuuuUUuuuUuuut....

To keep the conversation going (just because):

He177 you could argue for, but I would say the Do217 has more options and fits more holes in historic planesets. I also would LOVE to see the Ju188, myself.

Fighter-wise, I'd also love the Ki-44, but for fun I'll just make a list, either fun to fly or scenario hangar queens, but generally important airframes:

G.55
C.200/G.50
Revamped Ki-61 line with at least 2 or 3 airframes (if not 4 distinct subvariants)
Fw190A-8 (with proper empty weights and cannon weights)
Fw190G (or at least these loadouts on the A-5 we have)
P-36 or Hawk/75 subvariants (would LOVE this!)
Halifax or Wellington (both early-mid RAF bombers)
B-25J with glass nose and strafer options
