Slugfest.  Not enough people for base takes.  None of the base takes so far have been any fun.

All GVs available up to a Panther.  But SAME vehicles for both sides - this is only way for it to be fair.  Vehicle quality/effectiveness between Axis and Allis in WW2 was not equal, thus it will never be fair or even if you divide up vehicles for which sides the actual vehicles were used in.

your correct it will never be fair but life is not fair either if sides are not even people should on their own will swap sides and not stay with the glory rides! The Arena is Called Axis vs Allies not the Arena of the SAME!

If we do a true A vs A tank set, leave the Panther out. Panzer IV H would be as far as I would go on the Axis side. JMO

Then you would need to leave the T-34/85's out.  That is closest match to a Panther. 

It will never be even unless it is same tank set.  If there ever was a pair of tanks that was somewhat close in abilities between Axis and Allies, then let it only be Panzers (all variants) vs Sherman (only the 75 and 76mm ones).  These 2 have similar speed and firepower.  This is about as close are you are going to get between an Axis and an Allied tank.

I agree with Molsman.. WWII was uneven. Germany had the tigers and yet we all aren't speaking German , So we must have beat even the king tiger at some point .. AvA was meant to be less of an equal side thing , but more of a skill thing .
 some of the best gvers in the game can even take out a tiger with a lesser tank. We try to be as fair and as equal as we can , but we also like to be just a little historic. that includes our setups and tank nights .
 If this stops you from coming in . I can't help that .. Tank night is a lot of fun , even when i lose! We know we can't please everyone and we don't try. But we can get a lot more people in if we stop complaining about what's wrong , and try to help and encourage what is right !!

Allies beat the German tanks by overwhelming them with larger numbers.  Here you want to have fights with the a same # vs same # which is why it does not work.

Lessor tanks can take out greater tanks with numbers (as gyk notes) or by flanking and attacking side or rear armor.  With AvA radar on flanking is impossible as your target knows you're there and can present his frontal armor to you.  Then again, with radar off no one can find anybody. It would be different if AH had roads to concentrate action, but it doesn't.

I have seen some M-8's kill Panthers, Tigers 1's, and T-34's on occasion, not all the time, but once in awhile it happens. I know a couple of M-8 drivers who would like to participate.
