.ef bug

When I bail out of a plane...don't open my chute but just type in .ef as I fall...I have a hard lockup that I have to altctrldelete to close AH...checked for dmp file there were none

Have had 4 hard lockups within last few sorties...heres dxdiag...

Your video card is at the low end of the scale.

Also, you might want to disable the AMD High Definition Audio Device in the Device Manager and uninstall the driver for it unless you need it for reproducing audio through your TV speakers.

You may be right, the clouds are known to reduce frame rates and for a weaker video card the load can be overwhelming at certain situations.

You might also consider updating your video card driver.

With only 1GB of video RAM, I can assure you, there will be times when that will not be enough video RAM if you have "shadows" enabled.

Like Bizman said, if you are not expecting audio from a television connected to the HDMI port of the video card, then disable the AMD audio driver.

Thanks skuzzy...I uninstalled the HDMI audio driver and installed my 2 gig card...It's not as powerful as the 6870 but actually works better...I haven't encountered the clouds since but after playing all weekend I didn't get another disco at all...But I didn't encounter the clouds as that map wasn't up  :noid
