I wish the range shown under the icon of planes would have more detail.

You need to work on articulating your wishes in a less vague manner. For instance, what does "more detail" mean?

It's like that on purpose. There's more range detail in film and you can use that to learn to estimate range based on aircraft size in the gunsight.
