I think a big part of what's going on is you aren't hearing all of the pings that hit you, when a P47 tears my wing off I only hear 2 or 3 pings, but i'm sure i got hit with a lot more.

I can promise you when I kill something with a 20mm its not just one lucky hit, its a whole bunch.

Make a nice video of all you guys raking planes with the 50s. I've been wanting to do this myself, but I'm not good at video stuff. It really irritates the hell out of me. I put close to 80-150 rounds in some planes and give them a gas leak or some crap. The only way these bullets work is if they are all streamlined in a leading shot, other than that it's just a waste of bullets to shoot them in any other position. You'd think the bullets would eventually do enough damage regardless of how many hit at one single time. Make a compilation of all you guys reaming planes and so that people can really see what you mean. I agree with you though.

Wow, things sure have changed with AHIII. No more Mid or Early War arenas? Well, at least I still know where to aim at 24s and can hit a target that's not maneuvering. 

Oh yeah, I'm kinda-sorta back and may occasionally appear in game again.

Yeah, you got the right of it.  No Historical Arena.  Limited WW1, with no Zeps and bombers.  Missing shipping, truck and trains convoys to hunt down.  But rumor has it that those features are being worked on.  Maybe...

I dunno man.  I been getting a lot of kills in the 47 with short bursts near my convergence range, and 3/4 deflection HO, and trail.  Then there's those times that a dead stern or pure HO take 3 to 4 seconds of firing to bring down.  Might be an angles thing?  Regardless, the 50s do not hit as hard as they used to, especially from the 38 and the 47.
