Just started playing again, have only ONE problem--If I tab out of the game on climbout, when I comeback in, I get a blue screen (NOT the 'blue screen of death'), just, the absence of video output--)I'll sometimes see this for a second or two while box is booting up, etc.) I can HEAR AH stuff in the back ground...hit Windows key, I'm back to looking at the normal desktop. Attempt to go back in to AH...rinse and repeat. Have to close it in task manager, and restart game. Win 7_64, Nividea 1050 ti, has 4 gig memory. Odd

Check the power settings of your video card in the Device Manager. Uncheck the "Let Windows shut this down to save energy".

Further, you might want to change the entire power plan for your computer. Go to Power Management and choose "Best Performance" instead of the default "Balanced". There's more, but I'm too tired to remember it all now.

doh, posted a message on the wrong thread.  Check your video settings before you log in fully to the game, is your 1050ti visible and selected there?

yeah, it was selected. Interesting, this patch seems to have cured it, but I'm in a motel, and am not hooked up to regular monitor, can't say for sure until I'm home tomorrow.

(Also, should I be clicking on DX9 version or DX11?--That was a thing 8 months ago when I late played-- Tried both the other day, couldn't glean much difference However, just now, after STARTING with "DX11", it told me it was firing up DX9 after the update)

That is just a default thing after updates where it asks if you want to play now. I run with VR, and still starts up DX9 after updates. :old: I had a patch failed : AH FILM.exe on this latest patch, though, and it got me thinking. So,your texture errors may be due  to a failed patch from some time? Not sure if that would give Texture errors but may not be a bad Idea to reinstall full version over your pre existing file? Just thinking out loud, well in text form :x :salute

Update--the problem is just with this monitor (32" Philips, was a touchscreen monitor on a job site...touch died) I can back out to the desktop, trying anything else (even right-clicking on taskbar) goes back to the blue screen (which is what this monitor shows with no input). Odd...just have to live with it

I don't know enough about electronics to use exact terms, but it sounds like there's a lack of communication between your computer and monitor. Since you now know it's monitor specific, it's safe to say that your monitor no more can communicate with your video card and is going to sleep. It works somewhat the other way around, though, as you have told.

That might be a power issue, monitors with a built-in power transformer can have issues with poor capacitors etc. Here in Finland fiddling with AC is restricted to qualified electricians only, but I've seen repair kits for various monitors on Ebay.

One possible workaround might be to set the monitor to be always on unless shut down by the power button. There may be a setting for that in the control panel of the monitor (the hard-to-find small buttons in the bezel).

Make sure you have the latest drive from Philips on that monitor (Windows should have it if you are on Windows 10).

I have a feeling that the way we recommend updating drivers may change after the fall update for Windows 10.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Error is back, along with BowlMA.

Just after landing.

Did a .psave but don't remember what file it creates.

Screen shot attached.
