Tracked All Terrain Wheelchairs
« on: July 17, 2017, 10:17:52 AM »
So I wanted to take a few minutes to brag about what I do for a living.  The news crew is coming to our shop in the next week to do an exclusive.

We started our business about 5 years ago.  We moved from a 10' x 12' shed to a 30,000 sqft facility and a staff!!  We've come a long way.  I will post the exclusive once it is done.

Check out the story.

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Cool.  How many gallons of fuel do the gas ones carry and what size motor powers them?

7mph is moving at a pretty good clip.

I guess you are the one responsible for introducing this to me , probably here, about five years ago.  If so,  Congratulations!  Nothing better than to here a grass roots business got up and went!  And such a feel good product!  I love the idea, and a serious niche.  Plus its scary enough the big boys are probably gun shy to try and out compete you.  Glad to hear its going well 5 years in.

5 gallons fuel.  We still haven't figured out miles per gallon yet.  I had one of my new employees go mow a farm.  Took him 6 hours towing a blade.  At the end of 6 continuous hours, we were still JUST over a 1/4 tank.  Its ridiculous.

Engine is a Briggs & Stratton Gold.  17.5 hp and 550cc displacement.

Yeah it probably was me.  Went from unemployed playing AH2 non stop to putting these things together and loving my job.  Thank you, Brother!

Briggs & Stratton engines are very good.  If I may suggest however, you can buy Honda engines from your local Honda powersports (not cars) dealers and I truly believe they are much better.

Hondas have worked out well for me in the small engine world.  Kawasakis have also been running for 20 years now.

tit for tat most small engines these days can run well for a long time.  with new emission standards or some other nonsense, my newer Honda engines run lean at start up, always need a choke, and need to be warm to take a load.  I know that's normal but it is a little more exaggerated now.

I hear a lot of scuff at Briggs in the last 10 years.  Some people will never go back to Briggs, yet some still love them.

One of our projects in research and development uses a Honda...  Testing out really nice currently.  About to release to the general public soon.

That is cool stuff!

Posted your links to some NZ Hunting forums as there are quite a few disabled hunters here (mostly get about using quad bikes).

Sl[pKnt, are you providing some of these units for free to disabled vets?

If you are, I'm going to call my Honda Factory rep and work to get you some free engines.  Honda has been generous in the past.
