Come up with a version of AH that runs on a basic Linux install, and include all of that on a bootable DVD, OS included.  Boot to a single Linux type, and either run it off the DVD or install the official AH Linux variant then run it.

Bootable game disc.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

That sounds very tempting! However, how would you run the almost bi-weekly updates we've been seeing after the launch of AH3? More importantly, how about the hardware drivers? I know very little about Linux, but for what I've learned, not all hardware works the same way we've got used to in Windows.

Updates aside, the game updates files all the time, while you are playing.  Skins and terrains get downloaded and so on.

The game has to run off a live file system and not from a DVD.  People already running Linux would be put out to have to have another hard drive/partition for yet another installation of Linux.

Windows users who have never seen Linux, would be lost. Apple users would like it as they are used to the X Window GUI.
