GETTING SLINSHOTTED OFF THE BACK ON CV AFTER LANDING.
« on: July 31, 2017, 07:36:05 AM »
7:30 am cst this morn CraterMA map -4 landing on C35 , I hit the #4 wire at about 85 mph and it instantly launched me off the back of the boat.  I went balls to the walls and it didn't help a bit....so long 25 perk points.

If the CV is turning, this will happen.

It can also happen if your path along the deck is at an angle relative to the deck.

My solution is not to use the hook and I routinely landed ar234s, me163s, and most every plane in the planeset on cv decks.

Hold your brakes and raise the hook as soon as you stop.

Make sure your throttle is at minimum.

CV was in a straight course,  why not just fix It. I'll land wheels up with perk planes from now on.

It you are trying to catch a wire at the wrong angle bad things will happen,..

Or.....................you could listen to the advice you are given and learn how to use the features that are programmed in the game.  Slight throttle while on the carrier deck allows you to back up.  You must be careful.  If you keep your throttle closed your aircraft will not move.

Simple but elegant.
