smaller than small maps
« on: July 29, 2017, 05:16:41 PM »
With 40 or so players per side (which is probably more than at most hours of the day), the small maps are still too big.  Big front lines with no one attacking, unless it's in one giant glob.  Why not try a map that's half the size of a small map.  So it gets rolled, who cares?  Still better than slogging on until the late night crew or the jokes steamroll it.
"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

+1

Or at least a change to these small maps during the off hours. Shorter base distance will also help during the off hours to spur fights. But I definitely think small maps during the off hours would bring a lot more action into the game.

Lol, ok, how about the original AW 3x3 sector map with 4 fields per side and one capturable in the middle?  That should make for a nice concentrated battlefront.
