Persistant wrecks.
« on: August 02, 2017, 04:14:16 PM »
I wish the game had wrecks from tanks/planes/etc that were persistant in some form.

I realize that this could be resource hogging, but some cheap representation or tip of the hat to it would suffice to add extra atmosphere to the game.

A cheap representation would be worst then no representation.

Probably right, but I can't see how its possible to represent it with hi-def and keep decent frames.

Only HT could tell us the frame rate hit, I can tell you this I was playing Far Cry 4 with the Grandkids the other nite, we blew up a truck carrying reinforcements, then used it for cover.  It was very cool.  Hiding behind a destroyed tank to get position for a shot on an enemy tank, lol wheres Nugs

A more viable option would be to have various types of wrecks built into the map; just like trees or buildings.

`

This would work more effectively but It won't be as impressive.

+1 from me, I'd like to see the burned hulk/smoking wreckage after a fatal hit to a tank or aircraft crash display 15-20 seconds before disappearing - if just for the filmmakers.  Maybe it could be a graphics option so people could disable if too much of a frame rate hit.
