VC-14 FM-2
« on: August 23, 2017, 11:54:04 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for supplying me the information for this skin.

This FM-2 named "Judy" served with composite squadron VC-14 aboard the escort carrier USS Hoggatt Bay near the Philippines in October 1944.

Outstanding work as usual! <S>
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Nice work! I was wondering how long until we got a three tone skin for that. The Wildcats appear to be a skinners dream with all the variations. Glossy sea blue, Tri-color , desert Middlestone over Azure blue! All the other fleet air arm colors including that grey anti-submarine scheme. Looking forward to seeing some of them in here.  :aok

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

I agree there is lots of scope for skins with the F4F-4 and FM-2 shapes. The next F4F-4 skin will be a red-centred star aircraft for early war PTO scenarios. Other USN F4F-4 schemes will include an Atlantic grey/white aircraft and a tri-colour FM-1. The FAA skin I just posted covers most Med scenarios, but I also plan to do desert scheme, Operation Torch, SEAC and D Day striped FAA F4F-4 based skins. The next FM-2 will be a Med-based FAA aircraft but also planned are Atlantic grey/white USN and SEAC FAA skins.
