Yes M3s made the numbers drop.  It had nothing to do with the failing economy.  Dam M3.
It might not have been the root cause but it for sure didn't help but keep being sarcastic....hey why weren't you helping us take fields last night...Lynch him he doesn't help us take bases he's bad for the game get your pitch forks boys he's a whiner....

Let me fill in the blanks you seem to have trouble following. The lack of fights is what has caused many people to quit the game. The M3s resuppling town is just another way for players to avoid fights.

Does that make things a bit easier to understand?  :D

I would like to see troop to kill ant pilots in the map room.  Make no sense how one pilot can take on ten paratroops and they just keep going without shooting back.

Makes no sense you can strafe an open to troop carrier and not kill at least one troop also..(well with my shooting it can)especially when if you look at a C47 sternly enough the wings fall off  hahaha..I say any strafed M3 with troops has three that have to painfully crawl to the map room...or have two other troops drag them in at half normal pace...

With respect, no one knows what makes people quit the game. Those who have posted their farewell addresses have given a wide range of excuses.  While lack of numbers is probably the first, lack of fights, lack of teamwork, big maps, small maps, cowardly players, rude and nasty players...I'm sure I'm leaving out others.  I suspect that the M3 resupply proponents are from the strategy-minded wing of the game.  That they are at odds with the dogfight crowd is really nothing new.

The point I'm making is you came on here saying I have no clue what I'm talking about in the game because you said all I did was furball...but then you are saying I'm the one telling people how they should fight...see how it doesn't add up from my end? Especially when the fact is I do play every part of the game.

I personally see nothing wrong with the way M3s are used to resupply.  It stimulates more strategy in taking bases.  It gives the little guy a chance against overwhelming numbers of enemy.  It hasn't really affected overall base taking, because bases are still being taken and maps are being won.  Let's look at a scenario if a town could not be resupplied.  The defending country's city strat and AAA strat has been beat up badly.   It could be one bomber flying over the town and it is white flagged and another player deacks the town auto ack.  Depending on the strat damage, the ack and town buildings could stay down for 2+ hours.  It can get a bit old trying to protect the town that long from capture and ties up manpower from going out and attacking the enemy.  It forces some to sit in town in GVs, watching the map room for extended periods of time.  Resupply of towns, strats and bases keep the game in motion and constantly changing.  Let's say we removed the strats damage controlling downtimes of their corresponding objects in towns or on bases.  Then maybe resupply could be taken away.  But removing the effects of strats in the game, removes some strategy and makes gameplay more predictable and a bit boring in my opinion.  I am obviously a proponent of the ability to resupply with m3s.

You keep saying "have fun". Where is the fun in looking for M3s hiding in the trees trying to resupply towns?

If that isn't fun, then why are you doing it?  Find an airplane to shoot down, or something to bomb...

But thats the point. There are some times that the numbers are so low that if those few guys running supplies jump in planes then you COULD find a plane to shoot down.

I liked it better when towns had a set 45 minute down time and no resupply.

How about the resupply but only builds up the town guns? That way an M3 can slow down capturing of a base but not stop 10+ players cold. Resupply doesn’t effect hangar down times. Maybe it shouldn’t effect the town buildings. More of a simulation of reinforcements to defend the town. Possibly an easy adjustment for HT as well?

Never had a problem with M3s running troops.
