Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (Aces High failure)
« on: October 31, 2017, 11:23:37 PM »
Assertion failed:
Program:C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\aceshigh9.exe
File:Source\Texture.cpp
Line:93
For information on how your program can cause assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts.

Windows 10 Critical Update becomes critical to Aces High again. After updating today this is what I get when trying to load the game.
1)Update drivers.
2)Uninstall drivers and reinstall drivers.
3)Uninstall Aces High and reinstall Aces High.
Same problem.
Please advise

After reinstalling
1)AHIII twice
2)CH Control Center twice
I was successful loading and playing game by loading in DX11. DX9 still not working.
I have not problem running DX11, but now the curiosity is killing me.

Look in the "temp" folder, where the game is installed on your computer drive.  If there are any *.dmp files, related to the times when this happened, the compress them using ZIP and post the files in the bug report forums.

I doubt there will be, given the nature of the error.  Microsoft has been having a lot of problems with the creator update.

Also need to know what terrain was being loaded?

Need a DXDIAG output from the computer as well.  Try going into "Video Settings" and making sure the video resolution is a legitimate one (open the drop down list and select it from there).

Did you reboot the computer?  We have seen, in a few instances, where Microsoft did not reboot the computer after installing an update and it left things unstable.
