Please do not dump people from game between maps - push them to a lobby

Don't have time to search forum but Randy1 is on track...I remember seeing somewhere that the server has to reboot or something and people cannot be in the arena when this happens...

So I figure the wish should be something along the lines of " After a map/server reset. I wish that I would be placed back into the MA once the new map is loaded."

The lobby where you select which arena you want to play in is outside the reset other wise ALL the arenas on the server would reset when one did.

The request is to have you booted to that lobby for the reset.

You sure? When you're at the arena selection screen, isn't there a lobby button and a checkbox to "always enter lobby" when you go online? Or did Hitech remove the actual lobby that I remember from the AH2 days.

You are correct on both accounts.
You can select the lobby, before choosing any arena.
There is a check-box to always enter lobby.

The point is in stead of dumping you to your desktop on an arena reset they could dump you to the arena selection screen so you can just click the "Melee" arena and get right back in. Alot of people just dont bother to "reload" everything once they get dumped to the desktop.

Not knowing why it is done any other way.  Be prepared to receive your answer in terms of "buy a watch" or "learn some math" even "just count" and push that heavy desktop aside once again.

  Hitech has already put MATH ON NOTICE!   In the fine print of Game credits and I quote  "MATH, solve your own problems" So buy a watch would work

I always thought it odd that the game kicks everyone out when a map is won.  I understand the need to reset the room but I think it would be better to move everyone to a lobby rather than boot them as it would keep them engaged in the game.

Better idea: Go to WWI arena for 10 mins. Crazy and intense fighting on there.

The pop-up "Host Connection Lost" - followed by a boot to the desktop, is a terrible implementation of a map change. 


At bare minimum, the pop-up should say "The Bish/Rook/Nits have won the war! -  But a new war has just begun..."

Then, clicking OK should take the player to the screen listing the arenas. 


Making a player have to log back in is unnecessarily adding to the tedium.  And with brand new players, the whole confusing event may turn them off completely.
